Beware of a new phishing attack!
Cybercriminals are sending texts asking you to send money using Zelle as payment. They make the texts look official and use the words ‘fraud alert’ as a call to action. If you respond, you’ll get a call from a fake representative.
While you think you’re avoiding a threat, you’ll be sending the money right into the scammers’ accounts.
Do not interact if you receive any suspicious calls or texts pressuring you to do something fast, whether it’s completing a payment or clicking on a link. Instead, call your bank or the company they are claiming to be with to confirm.
